Fire Protection Engineering: Culminating Experience Project Reports

This report evaluates the life safety features of the HCC San Jacinto Building (SJB) both prescriptively and on a performance basis. The goal is to present the building code requirements for the HCC San Jacinto building and determine if the design is in compliance, as well as analyze the building on the basis of performance criteria to determine if there are any excessive threats to life safety. The building is designed in compliance with the Houston Building Code, and takes advantage of lesser requirements for existing features.
