The prescriptive approach evaluates code compliance of the structural design, fire suppression system, alarm and detection and smoke control. The prescriptive design analyzed the code requirements for the building based on the 2018 IBC, with some consideration for the codes in place at the time of construction. The TEB is a single-story, Type IIB building that primarily houses engineering and technical staff.
