"The purpose of this study is to determine the effect that the specific gravity of the material scraped has on the power consumption and the efficiency of the common types of mine scrapers. As scraper weight, rope speed, and moisture content of the muck are important factors affecting the power consumption and efficiency, these variables are the ones considered for each type scraper.
