Floyd B. Lyerla was born on November 20, 1928 and died
December 23, 2009. Lyerla enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school during World War II and was called to active duty with the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired after 23 years of service in 1970. Lyerla was a decorated veteran with 23 military awards, including the World War II Victory Medal, Army Occupation with Germany Device, Korean Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of …
