A survey of current practices in heating and ventilation systems is discussed with emphasis on the benefits of adequate heating and ventilation in all school buildings. Cited are air experiments at Davis Hall and the systems in Lippitt Hall (Rhode Island State College), the State Normal School in Providence and the Mayhew School in Boston. The essay argues that individual building and use dictate the most efficient system necessitating a working relationship between architects and heating engineers.
