Fixing The Maze: Redesigning The Ksu Johnson Library Map, Gabriella Cumberbatch, Alexa Cosgrove, Katia Alexis, Ipek Erbaz
Fixing The Maze: Redesigning The Ksu Johnson Library Map, Gabriella Cumberbatch, Alexa Cosgrove, Katia Alexis, Ipek Erbaz
Senior Design Project For Engineers
The purpose of this report is to research and implement new ways to redesign the KSU Johnson Library map and increase the amount of navigation signage. Through time studies and surveys, the team identified resources that take a long time to find. A second round of time studies and surveys was conducted to ensure that the new implementations, signages, and maps are effective. The team also suggests redesigning the floor plans to make them clearer and easier to understand. Team Scrappy concludes that the redesigned map and library signage have significantly improved the ease of navigation within the Johnson Library. …

Senior Design Project For Engineers
This details the progress of the ENERCON pump replacement project as completed by the Kennesaw State University interdisciplinary senior design group. This project is a two-semester capstone effort for the engineering program at Southern Polytechnic School of Engineering, overseen by Dr. McFall during Fall 2020 and Dr. Khalid during Spring 2021 semesters. The 2020-2021 KSU Interdisciplinary Senior Design team was tasked with completing an Engineering Change Package (ECP) for existing vacuum pumps at ENERCON Station. The mechanical, electrical, and civil students worked together, performing evaluations on existing plant systems to ensure the plant could support the new vacuum pumps. By …

Senior Design Project For Engineers
The SMART Flow Design Team has been tasked in providing a physical layout for a single building facility used to consolidate three separate business units. The objective for the new facility will be to manufacture, receive, ship, and store the company's finished products. When designing the physical layout, the team must take into consideration stable and seasonal business volumes, current and future volume demand growth, designated inbound, outbound, and storage areas, and product turn rates. All specifications must be met while determining an efficient flow of goods. The team has designed indoor and outdoor layouts using Microsoft Visio, performed various …

Multipurpose Glider-Quadcopter Uas, Cody Delarosa, Lucas Richards, Ty Hilton
Senior Design Project For Engineers
The goal for this design was to develop a dual stage UAS that will deliver medical supplies to people in need in remote locations. To accomplish this, a quadcopter was designed to release a glider with the payload therein. A scaled down prototype was produced for analysis purposes. A conceptual model was fully designed that is capable of effectively taking off vertically, accelerating to a desired velocity, releasing the glider, and returning back to the initial takeoff location. The glider was designed to be fully controllable in order to accurately reach the desired location. System aerodynamics and quadcopter propulsion were …
