This article presents the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the technical characteristics of the rubber tyred gantry. He conducted a brief scientific analysis in the field of research of technical equipment of container terminals. A mathematical model of the parameters of relations of the crane, container and cargo terminal is proposed.

The purpose of this article is to study the container terminal as a technical system. In this regard, in this article it is necessary to investigate the functioning of the container terminal, associated with the random nature of the incoming and outgoing containers from the terminal. An example of a method for determining the number of reach players is also given.
