Redefining The Engineer: An Examination On Engineering Culture And The Impact On Underrepresented Students At Cal Poly, Danica Liang

This project is centered around examining what engineering culture is like at Cal Poly and how it may produce contrasting experiences and perceptions for underrepresented engineering students, and more specifically, for women and people of color. By gathering data through a survey and listening to personal narratives from student interviews, I hope to combine data and storytelling elements to create a compelling data journalism and visualization project.
