The Effectiveness Of The Use Of Solar Panels In Hotels Of Durres Area, Asllan Hajderi, Shkelqim Gjevori

International Journal of Business and Technology

In the present study is analyzing the case of the application of solar energy with vacuum tube collectors for heating water for sanitary needs in hotels of Durres areas. In recent years there has been a special interest by the leading authorities to the EU countries and the U.S., for the use of renewable energies in general and solar energy in particular. This is mainly related with the reduction of environmental pollution from gas CO2, which directly influences the greenhouse effect and global warming.

Unlike other forms of renewable energy, like wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and biomass usages, the use …

The New Application Of Battery-Electrode Reaction: Decoupled Hydrogen Production In Water Electrolysis, Yuan-Yuan Ma, Zhao-Wei Guo, Yong-Gang Wang, Yong-Yao Xia Oct 2018

The New Application Of Battery-Electrode Reaction: Decoupled Hydrogen Production In Water Electrolysis, Yuan-Yuan Ma, Zhao-Wei Guo, Yong-Gang Wang, Yong-Yao Xia

Journal of Electrochemistry

Hydrogen has been considered as a promising alternative to unsustainable fossil fuels because of its high calorific value, clean and abundant resources. Water electrolysis combined with renewable energy is regarded as the best way for hydrogen production, which will become the foundation of future hydrogen economy. For the past few years, many efforts have been employed to develop the cheap and high-performance catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction. However, the coupled hydrogen and oxygen evolution and the use of the expensive membrane have greatly restricted the flexibility of the conventional water electrolysis, and hindered the utilization of renewable …

Management Of A Hybrid Renewable Power Plant Supplying An Isolated Rural Load Within A Changing Environment, Hichem Azli, Mohamed Mostefai Jan 2018

Management Of A Hybrid Renewable Power Plant Supplying An Isolated Rural Load Within A Changing Environment, Hichem Azli, Mohamed Mostefai

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Often, authors deal with the sizing issue of hybrid power plants on horizons of several years. Proposed approaches are certainly essential to optimize energy costs. However, these solutions cannot remain optimal throughout the life cycle of the plant due to the inevitable evolution of the number of households, their consumption profiles, and possible degradation of a part of the plant. In this paper, an efficient management strategy of a sized hybrid renewable system is developed. It is based on the scheduling of the different resources of the plant. The main aim is to minimize the generated energy cost while ensuring …

An Analysis Of Centennial Wind Power Targets Of Turkey, Egemen Sulukan Jan 2018

An Analysis Of Centennial Wind Power Targets Of Turkey, Egemen Sulukan

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Wind power has become one of the cost-effective options for improving the energy mix, while the wind farm installations reach higher shares by new capacity additions in Turkey, similar to many other countries, in order to support the sustainable development targets. Various methodologies are implemented and applied for planning and optimizing energy systems of countries, taking into consideration the energy, economy, and ecology aspects as a whole. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the implications of "2023 energy targets" policy in terms of wind power. A futuristic scenario was tailored and applied to a comprehensive energy model for …
