Effect Of Carbon Nanotubes On Anodic Properties Of Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn Oxides, Feng Lian, Yong-Lei Xin, Bo-Jiang Ma, Li-Kun Xu

Journal of Electrochemistry

The Ru-Ir-Sn metal oxide anodes coated on titanium (Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn) were prepared by thermal decomposition. The effects of amounts of carbon naotubes (CNTs) on anodic properties were studied by TGA, SEM, EDS, cyclic voltammetry, EIS, polarization measurements and accelerated life test. The thermogravimetric analysis and EDS spectrum data showed that the high temperature oxidation decomposition of CNTs did not take place under the condition of the sintering temperature of 470 ℃, and the CNTS still existed in the anode coating in an element form. Compared with the contrast samples, the surface crack of the coating increased, but remained typical morphology. Adding …

Fabrication And Material Characterization Of Copper And Copper-Cnt Micropillars, Siavash Ghanbari, Jeff Darabi Jul 2015

Fabrication And Material Characterization Of Copper And Copper-Cnt Micropillars, Siavash Ghanbari, Jeff Darabi

SIUE Faculty Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity

In this work, copper micropillars and copper-carbon nanotube (CNT) composite micropillars were fabricated by incorporating an electrodeposition technique with a xurography process. In order to disperse carbon nanotubes in copper-CNT micropillars, various amounts of CNTs were added to the electroplating bath. Surface morphology and phase characterization of copper micropillars and copper-CNT composite micropillars were analyzed by optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. In addition, the corrosion resistance (Rp) of a bare copper substrate, copper micropillars, and optimum copper-CNT micropillars were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique in a 3.5 wt. % sodium chloride. Experimental results yielded a corrosion …

Electrical And Physical Property Characterization Of Single Walled Carbon Nanotube Ink For Flexible Printed Electronics, Kristian E. Warner Jr. Mar 2015

Electrical And Physical Property Characterization Of Single Walled Carbon Nanotube Ink For Flexible Printed Electronics, Kristian E. Warner Jr.

Theses and Dissertations

This research presents a method of characterizing single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) ink. This research also examines the results of our characterization efforts. First, the process of ink jet printing SWCNT ink onto organic and inorganic substrates is discussed. Next, the tests for measuring sheet resistance, conductance, inductance, adherence, thickness, roll-off, and S-parameters of the ink are described. Results and findings of the research are presented. The SWCNT ink created by Brewer Science © is shown to be an effective material for additive manufacturing using an aerosol jet printer, but not an inkjet printer. The ink is shown to have a …
