An Improved Ant Colony System For A Real Time Routing Strategy, Hannaneh Rashidi-Bajgan, Taravatsadat Nehzati, Napsiah Ismail

Hannaneh Rashidi-Bajgan

There is a large number of literatures about routing and dispatching plans for automated guided vehicle system (AGVS), however a small fraction of these works dealt with dynamic characteristic of this kind of scheduling problems. Current paper surveys a real time strategy to responding requests for supposed material handling system in the plant. We arranged this designing on a preplanned system where all data are known before the constructing routes. An improved ant colony optimization (ACO) is applied in order to find the shortest route path as new solicitations happened. We explore ACO initially for static version of the problem, …

A Classification Technique For Protection Coordination Assessment Of Distribution Systems With Distributed Generation, Almoataz Youssef Abdelaziz

Almoataz Youssef Abdelaziz

In this paper a novel approach is presented to study the impact of distributed generation on recloser-fuse coordination. This approach is based on the assessment of the recloser-fuse coordination due to the penetration of distributed generation with specified location and capacity for a given fault location. This assessment process acts as a classifier, based on finding the operating sequence of all reclosers and fuses in the path from the faulted node to the substation. This sequence is compared with a pre-required sequence obtained from the protection coordination philosophy, and then provides the distribution system operator with a result indicating whether …

Fractional Factorial Design Optimization Of Nontraditional Completion Fluid For Perforation With Underbalance, Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman Dec 2010

Fractional Factorial Design Optimization Of Nontraditional Completion Fluid For Perforation With Underbalance, Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman

Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman

Optimal well performance is always associated with the creation of a clean and undamaged connection between wellbore and reservoir. However, it is apparent that the use of shaped-charge perforating tends to produce perforation-induced formation damage. This damage impairs fluid flow and decreases well productivity. To minimize and eliminate this damage, underbalance perforating should be considered. Underbalance perforating has been considered as one of the best means of providing a transient surge flow for tunnel cleanup. This paper introduces the formulation of super lightweight completion to achieve underbalance condition. The formulation was optimized using fractional factorial design. The result indicates that …

Leaching Mechanism Of Semiconducting Minerals, Fathi Habashi

Fathi Habashi

The mechanism of leaching of semiconducting minerals such as PbS, ZnS, UO2, etc., has been the subject of intensive speculation by hydrometallurgists in the early 1950s. The electrochemical mechanism proposed in 1970 by the author in volume 2 of his Principles of Extractive Metallurgy avoids the assumption of forming intermediate complexes that cannot be isolated or identified.
