"As the extent of the science of heat conduction depends on the multiplicity of the boundary conditions that can be applied to the basic differential equation, a particular case in which the use of one set boundary conditions for the development of the general equation for the temperature distribution as well as the the amount of heat flow in a steady-state, two-dimensional heat flow system with a source of heat plased at the center of or along the axis of a cylinder, and without radial symmetry has been the object of this problem.
