Lithium And Gallium Abundance And Enrichment Factors In Typical Late Permian Coal-Accumulating Basin In Guangxi, Liao Jialong, Zhang Fuqiang, Wei Mengdie, Liang Xingdong

Coal Geology & Exploration

Through systematic sampling and testing of two typical Late Permian coalfields in Fusui and Xian’an, starting with the lithium and gallium abundance of the samples, and combining with the metallogenic geological background of the Late Permian coal-accumulating basin in Guangxi, the factors controlling the enrichment of lithium and gallium in coal are analyzed. The results show that lithium and gallium in coal of both coalfield have certain industrial prospect. Lithium is mainly concentrated in K1 coal seam, carbonaceous mudstone and bauxite section at the bottom of Heshan Formation, while gallium abundance in each lithology at the bottom of Heshan Formation …

Electrohydrodimerization Of Fumarodinitrile On Liquid Gallium Electrode, He Wei, Huang Ying Feb 1999

Electrohydrodimerization Of Fumarodinitrile On Liquid Gallium Electrode, He Wei, Huang Ying

Journal of Electrochemistry

Electrohydrodimerization(EHD) of fumarodinitrile on liquid gallium electrode can take place not only in hydrotropic solution of tetraethylammonium p_toluenesulphonate(TEA_PTS), but also in aqueous solution containing low concentration of strong surfactants, such as TritonX_100. In solution without organic surfactant, FDN yields a single two_electron reduction wave corresponding to the formation of a saturated monomer called as butanedinitrile. If some TEA_PTS or TritonX_100 is added into the solution, the original two_electron wave is splitted into two continuous single_electron reduction wave and corresponding EHD of fumarodinitrile is obtained.

X-Ray Diffraction And Scanning Electron Microscopy Analyses Of A Gallium-Based Dental Restorative Alloy, Randa E. Shaker, William A. Brantley, Qiang Wu, John C. Mitchell Jan 1999

X-Ray Diffraction And Scanning Electron Microscopy Analyses Of A Gallium-Based Dental Restorative Alloy, Randa E. Shaker, William A. Brantley, Qiang Wu, John C. Mitchell

Cells and Materials

Specimens of a gallium-based dental alloy were prepared with different condensation techniques, with and without the removal of a surface layer, and after aging for 2 hours at 50°, 100° and 150°C. X-ray diffraction at times ranging from 10 minutes to 1 day showed the development of the four matrix phases (ß-Sn, CuGa2, Ga28Ag72, and In4Ag9) during the setting reaction. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) examination of specimens loaded to failure revealed brittle fracture, with greater porosity for hand-condensed specimens, and provided insight into crack propagation processes. Aging increased …
