Frank Victor Sullivan was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1931. He became fascinated with airplanes and flying growing up in Wichita, and was a member of the Boy Scouts. He would go on to earn a private pilot’s license. He received his bachelor’s degree from Friends University (Wichita). Ronald R. McKee was born January 17, 1942 in Mason City, Washington, and grew up in Green Acres, Washington. He graduated from Central Valley High School in nearby Spokane Valley in 1960. Ronald married Patricia Taylor in 1962 and they had four children. In 1969, McKee earned a B.S. and an M.S. at Eastern Washington College (today Eastern Washington University). The is collection consists of photos, post cards, and newspaper clippings largely relating to the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (Katy) Railroad and the “Katy” depot and office in Parsons, Kansas.

In 1870 the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (M.K.T.) Railroad was incorporated in Junction City, Kansas. The railroad connected several military forts in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. In 1870, the town of Parsons, Kansas was founded for the purpose of being a hub where the lines to Junction City, Kansas and Sedalia, Missouri met. The original M.K.T. David James Murray was born on October 19, 1873 in Pennsylvania and moved to Kansas when he was three years of age. In 1896 David married Mary Selvey (1878-1959) in Cherokee, Kansas. They would have five children. In 1902 their child Marguerite was born in Weir, Kansas. In Weir, David worked in the mines until 1930 when he transferred to the McNally plant in Pittsburg, Kansas. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Geology from the University of Arkansas in 1958 and his Doctor of Philosophy in Geography from the University of Nebraska in 1970. Born in Bangor, Maine on July 21, 1922, Waldo "Mac" McClure Libbey received a baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine and a Master's Degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology before completing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Libbey returned to UMaine to teach until his retirement in June 1990. Libbey also undertook consulting work in the area of acoustics and noise. Record series include teaching, education, and publication records as well as administrative and consulting records and correspondence.

Joseph J. Gusmerotti was born to Joseph John and Margarita Malacarne Gusmerotti Sr. in Chicopee, Kansas on April 23, 1907. After graduating from Crawford Community High School in 1926, he moved to Detroit, Michigan and was first employed by the Chrysler Corporation as a typist. Gusmerotti was promoted into many areas of packaging, shipping, and exporting at Chrysler during his career. He also studied at the Chrysler Institute of Engineering from 1939-1941. In 1958, Gusmerotti was promoted to Special Assignments Overseas where he would document the operation of international parts warehouses for Chrysler in multiple countries. After working at the …

Born and raised in Farmington, Maria Glen Holt studied nursing at Cornell University in New York. She worked many years as a public health nurse. Maria married Dr. Alfred Holt and the couple moved to Bath when Dr. Holt transferred his practice there. Maria served two terms as a State Representative and ultimately became an environmental activist, fighting against construction of Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant in Wiscasset, Maine. In 2017, Maria co-authored the book, The Death of Maine Yankee: Antinuclear Activists' Adventures, 1969-1996, with Elisabeth King.
