Testing The Reliability And Flexibility Of Digitizers Adapting The Rf/If Signals Over Ip Applications Using A Testbed Platform, Jose Carlos Sandoval Jan 2020

Testing The Reliability And Flexibility Of Digitizers Adapting The Rf/If Signals Over Ip Applications Using A Testbed Platform, Jose Carlos Sandoval

Open Access Theses & Dissertations

As physical constraints can be challenging for Radio Frequency (RF) telemetry, a new solution has been exploited to support the demand for RF transmissions. As frequency spectrum gets crowded with more technologies, a solution to a reliable transmission is needed. Digitizers can mitigate many of the physical constraints in order to achieve a successful RF transmission. The method includes the conversion of the RF signals to be sent over IP networks, transmit and de-convert the signal. IP networks will mitigate many disadvantages over a regular signal transmission. The authority in charge to allocate frequency bands is the Federal Communications Commission …

Dielectric And Complex Impedance Properties Of Tetravalent Hafnium (Hf 4+) Integrated Cobalt Ferrite, Luis Javier Sanchez Jan 2013

Dielectric And Complex Impedance Properties Of Tetravalent Hafnium (Hf 4+) Integrated Cobalt Ferrite, Luis Javier Sanchez

Open Access Theses & Dissertations

The work presented in this thesis was carried out to understand the effects of tetravalent hafnium (Hf4+) ion on the crystal structure and phase, surface morphology, electrical, dielectric and complex impedance properties of cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4; CFO). Hafnium incorporated cobalt ferrite, CoFe2-xHfxO4, with x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.075, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 were prepared by the standard solid state ceramic synthesis method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characterizations were performed to determine the structural properties. Most important aspect of this study is to explore the dielectric and complex impedance properties as a function of variable temperature (T=300-1000 …

Control Of A Robotic Prototype Multi-Axis Synergistic System, Julio A. Torres Jan 2012

Control Of A Robotic Prototype Multi-Axis Synergistic System, Julio A. Torres

Open Access Theses & Dissertations

Balance is an ability that every person has and uses in normal daily life, to walk, run, stand, dance, etc. However, there are people who suffer a kind of balance impairment. The Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) is technique in balance rehabilitation, where the patient is asked to stand on a moving platform that is equipped with sensors that measure how well you maintain your balance. In this thesis, a new CDP mechatronic system, the Multi-Axis Synergistic System (MASS), for balance assessment is being developed.

As a first stage and as the objective of this research work the transferable control algorithm …
