"The major differences between commercially available electronic calculators and the small, general purpose computer are discussed. A computer system organization is proposed with low cost, physical compactness and user convenience as design objectives. In addition, a system block diagram and a set of micro-instructions are postulated. These micro-instructions are micro-programmed to provide floating point arithmetic capability and a library of function generating sub-routines"--Abstract, page ii.
