Application Of Pd/Graphene Modified Electrode In The Detection Of 4-Chlorophenol, Peng Shi, Bo-Xuan Wang, Quan-Lin Song, Hui Wang, Xin Liu, Zhao-Yong Bian

The Pd/graphene composites were synthesized by a modified Hummers method and NaBH4 reduction process, and then were characterized using XRD, SEM, XPS, and TEM. The Pd/graphene modified glassy carbon electrode (Pd/graphene/GCE) was prepared based on this method. Cyclic voltammetry was used to study the optimum operation conditions for the 4-chlorophenol detection. It was shown that the surface of the graphene was smooth and Pd nanoparticles were uniformly dispersed on graphene. The average particle size was calculated to be 6.5 ± 0.05 nm. Electrochemical Behavior And Content Determination Of Paeonol At Poly Sudan Ⅲ Modified Electrode, Yan-Jie Zheng, Ai-Lin Liu, Yun Lei, Xin-Hua Lin

Journal of Electrochemistry

The poly SudanⅢ modified electrode was characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and cyclic voltammetry (CV), while the electrochemical behavior of paeonol was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The result shows that the poly Sudan Ⅲ modified electrode exhibits excellent electrocatalytic effect on the oxidation of paeonol. The peak currents of differential pulse voltammetry are linear to the paeonol concentrations over the range of 3.0*10-7 ~ 2.2*10-5 mol·L-1. The detection limit has been estimated to be 5.0*10-8 mol·L-1. This method can be used for determination of paeonol content in real sample with satisfactory results.

The citric acid modified glassy carbon electrode (CA/GC) was constructed by potentiostatic technique and used for simultaneous determinations of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The CA/GC electrode exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity towards AA, DA and UA. The oxidation peaks are well separated with the potential differences between AA and DA, DA and UA, and AA and UA being 170, 130 and 300 mV, respectively, which is large enough to determine AA, DA and UA simultaneously. The β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) modified gold electrode (β-CD/Au) was fabricated to study the electrochemical behavior of adriamycin (ADM). The results indicated that the complexing reaction of ADM with β-CD took place at the β-CD/Au surface. At 25 ℃,the complexing constant (K) was 9.54×104 L?mol-1 in pH=7.0. The K values changed regularly with temperature, and the most suitable temperature of the surface inclusion reaction was 30 ℃. The complexing reaction of ADM with β-CD at the β-CD/Au surface could undergo the quasi-reversible electrochemical reaction with the rate constant being 0.0995 s-1. The electrochemical behaviors of rutin and ascorbic acid at single-wall carbon nanotube and polyelectrolytes (dimethyl-diallylammonium chloride, PDDA) film modified glassy carbon electrode was investigated. The cyclic voltammetric results showed that electron transfer of rutin at PDDA/SWCNTs/GC modified electrode is an adsorption-controlled process. The separation of oxidation peak potentials of rutin and ascorbic acid was more than 200 mV. The rutin concentration in the presence of AA were detected by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The citric acid modified glassy carbon electrode (CA/GC) was prepared by potentiostatic technique and was used for detections of dopamine (DA), epinephrine (EP), and their mixtures by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The modified electrode shows the enhanced sensitivity and excellent electrochemical discrimination to DA and EP. The cathodic potential difference between DA and EP was about 380 mV, while no cathodic reduction of ascorbic acid (AA) was observed because the oxidation of AA is an irreversible reaction at the sensor. Poly-L-lysine(PLL) was electropolymerized onto the surface of glassy carbon(GC) electrode.1[(3-dimethylamino)propyl]-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride(EDC) was used as a Cross-linking agent to immobilized Chloroperoxidase(CPO) onto the PLL/GC electrode.A pair of well-defined redox peaks was observed at CPO-PLL/GC electrode,which clearly suggested that PLL can promote the direct electron transfer between the CPO and the GC electrodes.The cyclic voltammetry results also showed that the electron transfer at CPO-PLL/GC is a surface adsorption-controlled quasi-reversible process,which is accompanied with proton transfer.The CPO-PLL/GC electrode exhibited a good electrochemical stability and excellently electrocatalytic activity for electrochemical reduction of O2.

Poly(cinnamic acid)-modified electrode (PCA /GC) was prepared by potentiostatic technique and was used for determination of uric acid (UA),ascorbic acid (AA),and their mixture by cyclic voltammetry. This modified electrode exhibited a potent and persistent electron-mediating behavior followed by well-separated oxidation peaks toward UA and AA at a scan rate of 50 mV·s-1 with a potential difference of 280 mV,which is large enough to determine UA and AA individually and simultaneously. The catalytic peak current obtained was linearly dependent on the UA and AA concentrations in the range of 2.0×10-6~1.0×10-4 mol·L-1,2.0×10-5~6.0×10-4 mol·L-1 in 0.03 mol·L-1 phosphate buffer (pH 6.0),respectively. Electrochemical Characteristics Of Vitaminb_6 At Polybromocresol Green Modified Electrode, Jun Yao, Jiang-Yuan Li, Yang Luo

Electrochemical characteristics of VB6 were investigated at PBG modified electrode by Cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry.The VB6 produced an irreversible oxidation peak at 0.978 V(Vs.SCE) in HAc-NaAc(pH=4.0) buffer solution over the potential range of 0.7 to 1.2 V.The electron number,the proton number,the transfer coefficient were determined to be 1,1 and 0.37,respectively.The oxidation peak currents of VB6 versus its concentration showed a linear relationship in the concentration range of 1×10-3~2×10-5mol/L with the correlation coefficient of 0.9967 and the detection limit of 2×10-6mol/L.The recovery was 100.06%.

A modified electrode has been constructed by depositing a novel copper(Ⅱ) complex 2biPy(ClO4)4 on the glassy carbon electrode through the method of cyclic voltammetry(CV).It was found that the modified electrode exhibited high electrocatalytic activity toward L-Cysteine oxidation with good reproducibility and high sensitivity.The peak current of semi-derivative linear scan was proportional to the concentration of L-cys in the range of 1×10-6~3×10-4 mol·L-1.The detection limit was 5×10-7 mol·L-1.

The chloroperoxidase(CPO) was immobilized onto the surface of SWNTs modified electrodes.The electrochemical behaviors of modified electrode have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry.The appearance of a pair of well-defined redox peaks in the CV curve indicated that SWNTs can promote the electron transfer reaction of CPO.The results of cyclic voltammetry in PBS of different pH,from 3~9,showed that the reaction of CPO on the modified electrode was with equal numbers of electron and protein.This readily prepared SWNTs modified electrode showed excellent stability and good catalysis to O2.

The sol-gel molecularly imprinted films modified glassy carbon electrode was prepared by electrodeposition of tetramethoxysilane(TMOS) and phenyltrimethoxysilane(PTMOS) with chronoamperometry in the presence of template molecules 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(3,4-DHBA) followed by extraction with ethanol.The modified electrode could successfully avoid the polymerization of oxidized 3,4-DHBA and the interference of 2,4-DHBA.A linear concentration response curve was obtained from 1.0 × 10-5 mol·L-1 to 8.0×10-4 mol·L-1,with the detected concentration limit of 5.0 × 10-6 mol·L-1.

The electrochemical behavior of hemoglobin at glassy carbon(GC)electrode modified with Lauric Acid was studied.In the potential of +0.6~-0.7 V(vs.Ag/AgCl),an irreversible cathodic peak was observed at-0.3 V at the scan rate of 20 mV·s-1.In the medium of 0.02 mol·L-1 KH2PO4-Na2HPO4(pH 7.0),ip increased with the increasing concentration of Hb and the value of pH.The peak currents were proportional to the concentrations of hemoglobin in the range of 1.00×10-8~5.00×10-9 mol·L-1 and 1.92×10-6~2.06×10-7 mol·L-1.The data was analyzed in details by simulating in order to obtain more information and reaction mechanism of Hb on modified electrode.The electrode can be used as an approach for determining …

The electrochemical behavior of 3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid(DHBA)on modified multiply wall carbon nanotubes electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and square wave voltammetry(SWV).Results show that in 0.1 mol/L HCl solutions the modified carbon nanotube electrode has an obvious electrocatalytic effect on the oxidation and deoxidization of DHBA.The oxidation current of DHBA is linear to it's concentration in the range of 4.0×10~(-6)~1.0×10~(-4) mol/L and 2.0×10~(-4)~8.0×10~(-4)1mol/L with correlation coefficient of 0.9995 and 0.9992.The detection limit is 1.0 ×10~(-6)mol/ L.

The proline film modified electrode and its electrochemical behavior was studied by cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemistry . After incorporation of Ni(Ⅱ), the cyclic voltammograms of the proline Ni(Ⅱ) film electrode exhibited a typical redox peak, which appeared at potential of 0.52 V anodic and 0.44 V cathodic in NaOH. The formal potentials E ' were linearly dependent on the pH, and the peak currents ip were linearly dependent on the square root of the scan rates,thus charge transfer in the film was controlled by diffusion. The electrochemical behavior of gold electrode modified by hexadecanethiol self_assembled monolayer (SAM) in the solution of Fe(CN) 6 3- /Fe(CN) 6 4- was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and ac impedance spectroscopy. The pinhole_free SAM_modified gold electrode has excellent blocking properties to the interfacial electron transfer from redox couple in solution to the substrate. The modified powder microelectrode was prepared by etching a Pt (0.1 mm diameter) disk microelectrode and filling in thus formed cavity with Nation_Os(bpy) 3 2+ /PVP composite modified carbon powder. The composite modified powder microelectrode showed cyclic voltammetric behaviors changing with the mole ratio (denoted X) of SO 3 - to Os(bpy) 3 2+ in Nafion. A modified electrolytic manganese dioside doped with Bi(Bi-EMD)wasprepared and examined by XRD and XPS.It is predominantly γ-mnO_2 and the Bi exists as Bi_2O_3 inthe modified material.The content of Bi in Bi-EMDs increased with the increasement of Bi ̄(3+)concentration in electrolyte,and reached14.3(wt)% from the bath of 0.008 mol·1 ̄(-1)Bi ̄(3+)+ used.Some Zn /Bi-EMD prototype batteries of AA size were assembled,and which cycle life tests showedthat the Bi-EMD has better reversibility.
