PIPE5 is a finite element analysis (FEA) program designed to analyze buried pipes and culverts whose development was spearheaded by A. P. Moser. PIPE5 started as a modification of the program SSTIPN in 1981 so that the program could run in batch mode on a mainframe and was written in Fortran IV language.
