In setups to enable IoT devices, high power radios are required in each of the devices separately. In order to reduce the power requirements for each individual device, a lower power radio could be used in order to reduce the total power requirements and size for the device and increase battery life or reduce power draws for each device. To enable this, a small change removing the application server requirements would be required.
