Design Analysis And Evaluation Of 1 And 2 Op-Amp Topology For Design Of Stable Narrow Band-Pass Filter, Raman K. Attri

Raman K. Attri

Band pass filtering techniques have been a challenging task due to requirement of keeping Quality factor, gain and mid-frequency of the filter independent of each other. Other most important aspect is keeping the filter stable, keeping mid-frequency immune to circuit component tolerances and to achieve the mid-frequency at the accurate value. The requirements become more stringent for bandwidth curve, roll-off curve and preciseness of frequency filtering as we move down to low frequency applications where the shift in few Hz would cause great frequency errors.. This paper evaluate the performance of 1 and 2 op-amp topology if those can be …

Impact Of Interconnection Photovoltaic/Wind System With Utility On Their Reliability Using A Fuzzy Scheme, Dr. Adel A. Elbaset Aug 2005

Impact Of Interconnection Photovoltaic/Wind System With Utility On Their Reliability Using A Fuzzy Scheme, Dr. Adel A. Elbaset

Dr. Adel A. Elbaset

Reliability analysis has been considered as an important step in any system design process. a reliable electrical power system means that the system which having sufficient power to feed the load demand during a certain period or in other word, having small Loss of Load Probability (LOLP). LOLP is defined as an expected fraction of load not met by its needed power from electrical power system during its lifetime. Photovoltaic (PV) / Wind Energy System (WES) hybrid electric power system (PV/WES HEPS) differs considerably from the utility grid (UG) in their performance and operating characteristics. With the interconnection of PV/WES …

Real-Time Reconstruction Of Remote Sensing Imagery: Aggregation Of Robust Regularization With Neural Computing, Yuriy V. Shkvarko, Ivan E. Villalon-Turrubiates Jun 2005

Real-Time Reconstruction Of Remote Sensing Imagery: Aggregation Of Robust Regularization With Neural Computing, Yuriy V. Shkvarko, Ivan E. Villalon-Turrubiates

Iván Esteban Villalón Turrubiates

The robustified numerical technique for real-time sensor array reconstructive image processing is developed as required for remote sensing imaging with large scale array/synthesized array radars. The addressed technique is designed via performing the regularized robustification of the fused Bayesian-regularization imaging method aggregated with the efficient real-time numerical implementation scheme that employs the neural network computing.

Digital Calculation Of Frequency Of Periodical Signal (Sinusoidal And Triangular, Tarak Benslimane, Boukhemis Chetate Apr 2005

Digital Calculation Of Frequency Of Periodical Signal (Sinusoidal And Triangular, Tarak Benslimane, Boukhemis Chetate

Boukhemis Chetate

– In This paper, a method of digital calculation of frequency of periodical signal (sinusoidal, triangular and square signals) is proposed. This method is based on calculation of time between two successive peaks of the rectified signal which constitutes it’s half period. This method allows the measurement of AC current and voltage of AC electrical network. To apply this method, it is necessary to have current and voltage sensors, analogue/ digital converter (ADC) and a processor. A software C++ based program is developed which can be implemented using appropriate processor. In the end are presented the digital simulation results.

Mil-Std-188-125-1, High-Altitude Emp Protection For Fixed Ground-Based Facilities Mar 2005

Mil-Std-188-125-1, High-Altitude Emp Protection For Fixed Ground-Based Facilities

George H Baker

MIL-STD-188-125-1 establishes minimum requirements and design objectives for high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) hardening of fixed ground-based facilities that perform critical, time-urgent command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) missions. The standard prescribes minimum performance requirements for low-risk protection from mission-aborting damage or upset due to HEMP environments. It also addresses minimum testing requirements for demonstrating that prescribed performance has been achieved and for verifying that the installed protection subsystem provides the operationally required hardness for the completed facility. Covered fixed ground-based facility types include subscriber terminals and data processing centers, transmitting and receiving communications stations, and relay facilities. Use of …

On-Chip Implementation Of Cascaded Integrated Comb Filters (Cic) For Dsp Application, Rozita Teymourzadeh, Masuri Othman Dec 2004

On-Chip Implementation Of Cascaded Integrated Comb Filters (Cic) For Dsp Application, Rozita Teymourzadeh, Masuri Othman

Dr. Rozita Teymourzadeh, CEng.

This paper presents the design of a CIC filters based on a low-pass filter for reducing the sampling rate, also known as decimation process. The targeted application for the filter is in the analog to digital conversion (ADC).The CIC is chosen because of its attractive property of both low power and complexity since it dose not required multipliers. Simulink toolbox available in Matlab software is used to design and simulate the functionality of the CIC filter. This paper also shows how sample frequency is decreased by CIC filter and it can be used to give enough stop-band attenuation to prevent …
