Feasibility Analysis Of Smart Home Devices - A Domestic Consumer Perspective, A Vittaleswar

Manipal Journal of Science and Technology

The internet of things (IoT) is a relatively new technology that establishes a global network of machines and devices capable of communicating and exchanging data over the internet. However, IoT and the internet are not the same things. IoT generates, analyzes, and makes decisions about connected objects; in other words, the IoT is smarter than the internet. One of the most common applications that make use of the IoT infrastructure to connect multiple sensors is the smart home. The sensors can detect and collect information from the environment, which is then used to control various home systems such as lighting …

Introduction. Federal grant funding to support infrastructure development of translational biomedical research centers is a form of public health intervention. Establishing rigorous methods for measuring center success and outcomes is essential to justify continued funding. Methods. Bibliometric data compiled from a 5-year funding cycle of a neurodegeneration and translational neuroscience research center was analyzed using the package bibliometrix for open source software R and the NIH-developed research tool iCite. Results. The research team and their collaborators (n=485) produced 157 grant-citing publications from 2015-2020. The science was produced by small research teams clustered around three main communities of topics: Alzheimer's Disease, …

The movement of green buildings started all over the world after the development of different rating tools for the assessment of green buildings. In the present study, the research trends in the area of green building rating tools (GBRTs) were analysed through the Scopus database from the year 2000-2020. By using the different combinations of keywords, relevant articles were found after refining the search results. In this study, 482 relevant articles from the first set of keywords were considered till the period 4th February 2021 for further analysis. Results reveal that research on GBRTs was majority done only on …
