Cyber Security Incidents On Critical Infrastructure And Industrial Networks, Robert Ighodaro Ogie Jan 2017

Cyber Security Incidents On Critical Infrastructure And Industrial Networks, Robert Ighodaro Ogie

SMART Infrastructure Facility - Papers

National critical infrastructure and industrial processes are heavily reliant on automation, monitoring and control technologies, including the widely used Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The growing interconnection of these systems with corporate networks exposes them to cyber attacks, with several security incidents reported over the last few decades. This study provides a classification scheme for categorising security incidents related to critical infrastructure and industrial control systems. The classification scheme is applied to analyse 242 security incidents on critical infrastructure and industrial control networks, which were reported between 1982 and 2014. The results show interesting patterns, with key points …

Two-Dimensional Nico2o4 Nanosheet-Coated Three-Dimensional Graphene Networks For High-Rate, Long-Cycle-Life Supercapacitors, Jiang Zhou, Ying Huang, Xiehong Cao, Bo Ouyang, Wenping Sun, Chaoliang Tan, Yu Zhang, Qinglang Ma, Shuquan Liang, Qingyu Yan, Hua Zhang Jan 2015

Two-Dimensional Nico2o4 Nanosheet-Coated Three-Dimensional Graphene Networks For High-Rate, Long-Cycle-Life Supercapacitors, Jiang Zhou, Ying Huang, Xiehong Cao, Bo Ouyang, Wenping Sun, Chaoliang Tan, Yu Zhang, Qinglang Ma, Shuquan Liang, Qingyu Yan, Hua Zhang

Australian Institute for Innovative Materials - Papers

We report the synthesis of two-dimensional (2D) NiCo2O4 nanosheet-coated three-dimensional graphene network (3DGN), which is then used as an electrode for high-rate, long-cycle-life supercapacitors. Using the 3DGN and nanoporous nanosheets, an ultrahigh specific capacitance (2173 F g-1 at 6 A g-1), excellent rate capability (954 F g-1 at 200 A g-1) and superior long-term cycling performance (94% capacitance retention after 14000 cycles at 100 A g-1) are achieved.

Integration Of Mno@Graphene With Graphene Networks Towards Li-Ion Battery Anodes, Wei Guo, Xiu Li, Dickon Ng, Jianmin Ma Jan 2015

Integration Of Mno@Graphene With Graphene Networks Towards Li-Ion Battery Anodes, Wei Guo, Xiu Li, Dickon Ng, Jianmin Ma

Australian Institute for Innovative Materials - Papers

In this work, we have directly integrated MnO@graphene with graphene networks through the thermal decomposition of a Mn-oleate complex in an Ar atmosphere at high temperatures. By introducing dual protective graphene shells and networks, the as-synthesized MnO/graphene composites exhibited superior cycling performance.

Microwave Characterization Of Carbon Nanotube Yarns For Uwb Medical Wireless Body Area Networks, Syed Muzahir Abbas, Oya Sevimli, Michael C. Heimlich, Karu P. Esselle, B Kimiaghalam, Javad Foroughi, Farzad Safaei Jan 2013

Microwave Characterization Of Carbon Nanotube Yarns For Uwb Medical Wireless Body Area Networks, Syed Muzahir Abbas, Oya Sevimli, Michael C. Heimlich, Karu P. Esselle, B Kimiaghalam, Javad Foroughi, Farzad Safaei

Australian Institute for Innovative Materials - Papers

Carbon nanotube (CNT) yarns are novel CNT-based materials that extend the advantages of CNT from the nanoscale to macroscale applications. In this study, we have modeled CNT yarns as potential data transmission lines. Test structures have been designed to measure electrical properties of CNT yarns, which are attached to these test structures using gold paste. DC testing and microwave S-parameter measurements have been conducted for characterization. The observed frequency independent resistive behavior of the CNT yarn is a very promising indicator that this material, with its added values of mechanical resilience and thermal conductivity, could be invaluable for a range …

Mechanical Properties Of Interpenetrating Polymer Network Hydrogels Based On Hybrid Ionically And Covalently Crosslinked Networks, Sina Naficy, Shota Kawakami, Sasha Sadeghovaad, Minato Wakisaka, Geoffrey M. Spinks Jan 2013

Mechanical Properties Of Interpenetrating Polymer Network Hydrogels Based On Hybrid Ionically And Covalently Crosslinked Networks, Sina Naficy, Shota Kawakami, Sasha Sadeghovaad, Minato Wakisaka, Geoffrey M. Spinks

Australian Institute for Innovative Materials - Papers

Hydrogels are polymer networks swollen in water. Because of their soft and wet nature, and their ability to show large volume changes, hydrogels can be useful in many biomedical and actuator applications. In these applications, it is crucial to tune the mechanical and physical properties of a hydrogel in a controllable manner. Here, interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) made of a covalently crosslinked network and an ionically crosslinked network were produced to investigate the effective parameters that control the physical and mechanical properties of an IPN hydrogel. Covalently crosslinked polyacrylamide (PAAm) or poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) networks were produced in the presence …

Diffusion And Social Networks: Revisiting Medical Innovation With Agents, Pascal Perez, N Ratna, A Dray, Q Grafton, D Newth, T Kompas

the classic study on diffusion of Tetracycline by Coleman, Katz and Menzel (1966). Medical Innovation articulates how different patterns of interpersonal communications can influence the diffusion process at different stages of adoption. In their pioneering study, individual network (discussion, friendship or advice) was perceived as a set of disjointed pairs, and the extent of influences were therefore, evaluated for pairs of individuals. Given the existence of overlapping networks and consequent influences on doctors’ adoption decisions, the complexity of actual events was not captured by pair analysis. Subsequent reanalyses (Burt 1987, Strang and Tuma 1993, Valente 1995, Van den Bulte and …
