Due to the continuous decrease of the solar cells cost, photovoltaic energy is used in different applications. The most important one is the water pumping system powered by photovoltaic generators. These systems can work with or without storage battery. With the increased use of this application, more attention has been paid to their optimum utilization. Many methods have been developed to determine the maximum power point (MPP). In this paper, to control the DC bus voltage, we apply field oriented control (FOC) strategy to induction motor (IM) supply by a photovoltaic (PV) system. And to maximize the efficiency of the …
