Energy Supply Chain Of Co-Firing System To Generate Electricity, Abinash Panda Nov 2019

Energy Supply Chain Of Co-Firing System To Generate Electricity, Abinash Panda

Major Papers

The problem of air pollution on the streets of the national capital of India, New Delhi is a major concern. Majority of the pollutants are generally originated from either the vehicles on the roads or the burning of crops from the neighbouring states of the National Capital Region (NCR). To improve the condition of the air quality by the vehicles, implementation of the Electric Vehicles (EVs) in an energy supply chain is a suitable plan. The objective of this paper is to plan a supply chain of generation of electricity by the process of co-firing that prompts benefits both in …

Supply Chain Network Analysis For Outboard Motors At Motor Boaters Usa, Seyedalireza (Ali) Ghiasi, Chase Griffith, Djanene Manuel, Yesenia Pérez, Alvand Rafiee Apr 2019

Supply Chain Network Analysis For Outboard Motors At Motor Boaters Usa, Seyedalireza (Ali) Ghiasi, Chase Griffith, Djanene Manuel, Yesenia Pérez, Alvand Rafiee

Senior Design Project For Engineers

Motor Boaters USA found themselves possibly spending too much on their current network distribution of small and large outboard motors and requested new distribution alternatives for the U.S. Through past network distribution data analysis, the team devised 3 scenarios it believed would provide one or more cost effective distribution networks applicable to the request. Through what-if analysis, the teams' calculations produced solid results, which were then presented to Motor Boaters USA for reflection and possible implementation.

Design And Realization Of Rfid-Enabled Conwip Strategy For Multi-Echelon Inventory Of Distribution Network, Xiaoju Han, Dingwei Wang Jan 2019

Design And Realization Of Rfid-Enabled Conwip Strategy For Multi-Echelon Inventory Of Distribution Network, Xiaoju Han, Dingwei Wang

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Because the RFID technology can visualize the quantity on the way and the inventory status of the supply chain remotely and in real-time,a RFID-enabled electronic card system is designed. The CONWIP control strategy of multi-echelon production inventory system is extended to thedistribution network ofsupply chain. The CONWIPcontrol strategy model is established, and experimental simulation system is exploited. The strategy is compared with the (r,Q) and Push strategies under different network structuresof supply chain. The strategies’ influences on the performance of supply chain are verified by calculating the evaluationindex. Simulation results show that the RFID-Enabled CONWIP strategycan …

Quantifying Restoration Costs In The Aftermath Of An Extreme Event Using System Dynamics And Dynamic Mathematical Modeling Approaches, Akhilesh Ojha Jan 2019

Quantifying Restoration Costs In The Aftermath Of An Extreme Event Using System Dynamics And Dynamic Mathematical Modeling Approaches, Akhilesh Ojha

Doctoral Dissertations

"Extreme events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and the like, lead to devastating effects that may render multiple supply chain critical infrastructure elements inoperable. The economic losses caused by extreme events continue well after the emergency response phase has ended and are a key factor in determining the best path for post-disaster restoration. It is essential to develop efficient restoration and disaster management strategies to ameliorate the losses from such events. This dissertation extends the existing knowledge base on disaster management and restoration through the creation of models and tools that identify the relationship between production losses and restoration costs. The …
