"This thesis presents an effective cost model for the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) process used in additive manufacturing practices. The various factors that influence the total cost of a build on both small and large frame machines are discussed. These attributes, which include labor and overhead rates, material costs, and process times, combine to generate the driving force behind a manufacturer's decision to use the small or large SLS machine for mass production.
