Trouble Shooting In Plastic Injection Molding Machines, Zafar Kamal
Trouble Shooting In Plastic Injection Molding Machines, Zafar Kamal
Theses
The purpose of this thesis is to find the solution of those problems which occur during plastic injection molding process. Molding cycle problem analysis is an important field in plastic injection process. It is very necessary to catch the problems during operation. Therefore on the basis of research trouble shooting criteria is prepared.
Good quality control is an essential feature for finding any sort of fault. Quality control is associated with each and every step of operation to maintain the required shape and surface finishing.
Most of the molding problems are solved by varying the machine conditions and by changing …
Effect Of Shrinkage On The Design And Manufacture Of Plastic Parts In Injection Molding Using Cad/Cam Techniques, Deepak M. Shastri
Effect Of Shrinkage On The Design And Manufacture Of Plastic Parts In Injection Molding Using Cad/Cam Techniques, Deepak M. Shastri
Theses
Computer aided design software in injection molding has revolutionized injection molding in the design and manufacturing processes. Computer Aided Engineering can be applied to injection molding to increase the process efficiency, reduce part costs, and produce accurate parts in less time. The mold designer has many software programs to choose from to produce satisfactory mold designs from part geometries, and a correct selection can produce profitable results. A study of the need for and the scope of computers in injection molding is performed to evaluate the suitability of a CAE package by considering the value added to the parts using …
Analysis Of The Influence Of Natural Wear And Tear In Gates And Runners On The Filling Of A Balanced Multi-Cavity Injection Mold, Ranga Reddy V. Adavelly
Analysis Of The Influence Of Natural Wear And Tear In Gates And Runners On The Filling Of A Balanced Multi-Cavity Injection Mold, Ranga Reddy V. Adavelly
Theses
Design of injection molds is outmost important in the manufacture of parts. Its components runners and gates significantly influence the mold filling. Using a simulation package for injection molding a balanced multi-cavity mold was designed. Wear in the gates of runner was simulated by varying the cross-sectional area of the components. Influence of wear of tear in gates of runners on mold filling was measured in terms of flow rate of time of fill. Detailed analysis is done on four different models using four different materials Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Nylon6 and Polybutylene terephthalate. Graphical display of result is presented and analyzed …
Computer Simulation Of Cavity Filling During Injection Molding Process, Sumit Banerjee
Computer Simulation Of Cavity Filling During Injection Molding Process, Sumit Banerjee
Theses
A numerical technique is proposed for the simulation of cavity filling process during injection molding of glass-bead filled polypropylene. The mold cavity is of cylindrical shape. Marker And Cell (MAC) method is utilized for solving the transient flow phenomena, after a mathematical simulation of the flow model is carried out by using the relevant continuity and-momentum equations governing the system. The complexity of the equations involved, results in the simplifying assumption of incompressible and isothermal flow process. A computer program is written on the basis of finite-difference equations developed during the application of MAC method under the prevailing conditions.
