Electrochemical Reductive Behaviors Of 3,4,5,6-Tetrachloro-2-Trichloromethylpyridine At Ag Electrode, Chun-An Ma, Yi-Jiao Hu, Ying-Hua Xu

The electrochemical reductive behavior of 3,4,5,6-tetrachloro-2-trichloropyridine(heptachloropyridine) on silver electrode in the mixture of acetonitrile and water solutions containing TBAP was investigated by cyclic voltammetry.The influences of scan rate,concentration and temperature on the electrochemical behavior were discussed.It was shown that the reduction of heptachloropyridine on the silver electrode was a diffusion-controlled irreversible process.The diffusion coefficient of heptachloropyridine in the acetonitrile solution was 3.0×10-5 cm2/s.The mechanism of the dechloration of 3,4,5,6-tetrachloro-2-trichloropyridine was also discussed.

We performed Raman spectroscopic studies of 1,3,5,7-cyclooctatetraene at elevated pressures up to 10 GPa with the aim of examining possible planarization of the molecule and further studying two prior-discovered phases of the solid with pressure. The Raman excitation source was a Krypton-ion laser operating at 674.1 nm (give wavelength).

1,3,5,7 Cyclooctatetraene has an octagonal formation however it is not aromatic or anti-aromatic (not a subject to the 4n+2 Huckel’s rule) [1]. As a result, its adopts a somewhat reactive tub shape. The sol-gel molecularly imprinted films modified glassy carbon electrode was prepared by electrodeposition of tetramethoxysilane(TMOS) and phenyltrimethoxysilane(PTMOS) with chronoamperometry in the presence of template molecules 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(3,4-DHBA) followed by extraction with ethanol.The modified electrode could successfully avoid the polymerization of oxidized 3,4-DHBA and the interference of 2,4-DHBA.A linear concentration response curve was obtained from 1.0 × 10-5 mol·L-1 to 8.0×10-4 mol·L-1,with the detected concentration limit of 5.0 × 10-6 mol·L-1.
