"The insistent demand for higher grade refractories has resulted in the manufacture of a product which will withstand higher temperatures, have greater slag resistance, greater resistance to spalling action and deformation under load. These better grades of refractory materials have been developed as the result of extensive research on the part of the manufacturers. In order that these higher quality refractories may be employed with the best results, it is necessary that they be set with a refractory cement which also possesses these desirable properties.
