Low salinity water injection (LSWI) is one of the leading techniques in terms of enhancing oil recovery in sandstone and carbonate formations. Many studies and lab experiments were performed on the LSWI applications. Some studies have pointed out multiple negative observations, while other studies have shown the positive potential of using LSWI in enhancing oil recovery.
