"A method is presented to calculate the eddy current losses of a uniform disc with an opening in the center and excited by a circular current loopage First, the disc is subdivided into smaller concentric rings, then the self-inductances, the mutual inductances between these smaller rings, the mutual inductances between the excitation coil and the smaller rings, and the resistance of the rings are calculated.
