"This paper deals with the problem of realizing filter and delay functions by means of distributed RC devices. The method is made possible through the use of a distributed RC network which possesses rational admittance parameters. The technique of approximating transfer functions using polynomial factors that are ration in e[superscript (a square root of s] is explained. These factors are used to approximate the magnitude and phase characteristics for a low-pass filter. This filter is then realized using the admittance functions studied by Wyndrum, the "s->W" transformation, and Richard's theorem. Those factors are then used to approximate high-pass and …
