The growing concerns regarding climate change, population growth, depletion of fossil fuel, and pollution arising from the combustion of petroleum-based fuel can be identified as the most important factors driving the urgent need for environmentally friendly renewable energy. Among all the recognized alternatives to gasoline-based fuel, hydrogen is not only considered as a clean energy but also it has a high energy content of 142 kJ/g which is almost three times higher compared to other fossil fuels.
