Classification Of Biomaterials Used In Medicine, Ajit Behera Aug 2012

Classification Of Biomaterials Used In Medicine, Ajit Behera

Ajit Behera

In this decade many researches are potentially going forward by using biomaterials in the medical field. Biomaterials can used in living creature body, taking in account of there biocompatibility. This paper describes about classification of different biomaterials which are used in medical industries. Advances in surgical technique and instruments have permitted materials to be used in ways that were not possible previously. Bio-material can partially/totally replaces one or more part of the body. Before using biomaterials, it should in mind that, which categories they are belongs and main focuses are on biocompatibility, bioinert, bioactive/surface reactive, biodegradable, sterilizability, adequate mechanical and …

Preparation And Characterisation Of Graft Biopolymer To Improve Sustained Release Property, Ajit Behera Jan 2011

Preparation And Characterisation Of Graft Biopolymer To Improve Sustained Release Property, Ajit Behera

Ajit Behera

In the present piece of research work focuses on grafting Acrylic acid with HPMC to obtain copolymers with improved properties, biodegradable and biocompatible that will be used as hydrogel or water absorbing polymers. To develop a prolong release activity drug delivery system for the medication purpose to enhance drug activity and reduce the frequency of dose via this hydrogel. A novel HPMC-g- acrylic acid hydrogel was prepared by in-situ emulsifier free emulsion polymerization using benzyl peroxide as an initiator through 1-stage grafting. Acrylic Acid could intercalate into layers of HPMC and form graft composites through in situ graftpolymerization with acrylic …

A New Multilayer Composite With Functionally Graded Design For Endodontic Application., Ahmed A. Madfa Jul 2010

A New Multilayer Composite With Functionally Graded Design For Endodontic Application., Ahmed A. Madfa

Ahmed A. Madfa

Multilayer composite with FG structure were fabricated using zirconia (ZrO), alumina (AI2O3), Hydroxyapatite (HA) and titanium (Ti) micropowders. Powder selection and their combination in each layer were according to the results of finite element analysis.

Microstructural Characteristics Of Functionally Graded Materials Designed As Dental Post, Ahmed A. Madfa Feb 2010

Microstructural Characteristics Of Functionally Graded Materials Designed As Dental Post, Ahmed A. Madfa

Ahmed A. Madfa

To study the interfaces and microstructure of multilayered materials fabricated based on functionally graded concept for use as dental posts.

Porosity Reduction Model In Functionally Graded Metal-Ceramic Composites Using Shrinkage Measurement, Ahmed Madfa Jan 2010

Porosity Reduction Model In Functionally Graded Metal-Ceramic Composites Using Shrinkage Measurement, Ahmed Madfa

Ahmed A. Madfa

Porosity of metal-ceramic functionally graded materials (FGMs) was investigated experimentally to verify its mathematical models.
