Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is one of the most successful orthopaedic surgeries performed, in which the hip joint is reconstructed to decrease pain and to improve the functionality to the joint. Although these surgeries are very successful, there still remain areas for improvement, such as failures due to instability and dislocation of the implanted joint. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effect of surgical entrance approach on dislocation, the effect of implant type, and the effect of capsule repair and closure.
