In order to screen for laryngeal cancer, a biopsy is performed to take a tissue sample from that area of interest. Due to the risk involved these procedures take place in the operating room where a larger sample can be obtained, but delays in scheduling operating room procedures put patients at a greater risk as their diagnosis can be delayed. We want to create a device that is able to move these delayed operating room procedures in-of ice where the physician can treat the patient quickly and safely.
