The scope of this document is to demonstrate the richness and diversity to be found in the art song genre from countries outside of the standard repertoire, specifically focusing on the Brazilian composer Francisco Mignone. The purpose of this document is to provide performance practice guidelines for four selected pieces by Francisco Mignone: No Meio do Caminho (1938), Pregão (1947), Si eu sei o que é saudade (1976), and Valsa-Vocalise (1972).
