When I began to consider what I felt was an important question about my school environment, I turned to my thoughts on leadership in my school building. I wanted to know: “How does a teacher’s level of involvement in planning or facilitating professional development impact his/her view of him/herself as a teacher/leader in a school?” As time passed and I refined my question, I specifically considered one group of teachers in my school.
