This paper examines the research related to the impact of 1:1 technology initiatives on student achievement. There are studies that show students using 1:1 technology have improved test scores in a variety of subjects, and there is literature that highlights specific methods for using 1:1 technology in the classroom. Many different opportunities for improved instruction are explored which break down into four main categories; increasing the amount of time students spend in class, 21st century skills, assistance to all learners, and advanced pedagogy. The Causes, Impact, And Cost Of Teacher Turnover, Jenny M. Young

This literature review examines research studies regarding the causes, impact, and cost of teacher turnover in U.S. schools. Results indicate a strong association between schools with high teacher turnover rates and high rates of students of color. Teachers also report more dissatisfaction with the working conditions and school leadership in schools with high teacher turnover rates. Studies indicate high rates of teacher turnover can have a negative impact on both student achievement and school culture. Overwhelmingly, schools serving a high percentage of students of color bear the majority of this impact. Additionally, schools and districts consume valuable financial resources replacing …
