Human communication requires the disciplines regarding physical fitness, codified language, and the performing arts to overlap, and exist symbiotically. Within the realm of artistic performance, the three disciplines working together deliver a deliberate message in a way unique to performing artists. The general tendency to compartmentalize sports, communication, and the performing arts into their pigeonhole categories of Kinesiology, Linguistics, and Theatre Arts is impractical, particularly for performing artists simply because all of the disciplines are mutually dependent in the context of all kinesthetic communications.

This issue from December 11, 1978 featured essays about art exhibitions, departmental news, a student meeting with RISD president Lee Hall, and female student safety. Express-O was a short-lived student newspaper published in early 1975. The issue of February 7, 1975 included an interview with Ruth Kligman, author of Love Affair: Memoirs of Jackson Pollock, and Jackie Curtis, actor. They spoke at a lecture called "Against Nature" that Seavor Leslie organized on January 29, 1975. An article about hair salons in Providence is also included. Events of interest to RISD students that took place at RISD and in the Providence area were also listed.

RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The March 15, 1974 issue had an article about sports at RISD, a letter to the RISD building committee from RISD architecture students, and an article about a quilt lecture with Jonathan Holstein. There also was an article about the Women in Wintersession class in New York City. Poems, comics, ads, classifieds, and events for RISD students were also included.

RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. Beginning in September 1973, RISD press included the Brown Daily Herald’s weekly issue of Fresh Fruit as an insert. The issue of November 2, 1973 included an article about the Ad Hoc Committee to study curriculum at RISD. There was an interview with the photographer Andre Kertesz and an article about the RISD Architectural Studies Division. A poem, a short story and events for RISD students were also mentioned. Club …
