According to the national organization FARE (Food Allergy Research Education), researchers estimate that up to 15 million Americans, including one in 13 children, have food allergies. In fact, a 2013 report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that the number of children with food allergies in the U.S. increased 50 percent between 1997 and 2011. Food allergy reactions send someone to the emergency department every three minutes, resulting in more than 200,000 emergency department visits in the U.S. per year. (FARE, n.d.).

To Frame Or Not To Frame: Improving Goal Setting, Alexander Dontre

Goal setting is a fundamental mechanism used to enhance performance and to promote individual and organizational achievement. Accordingly, developing ways to improve goal effectiveness can be a valuable endeavor. This project proposes that the way in which goals are framed should be positively correlated with success rates. New Year's resolutions were determined to be framed either positively or negatively, and then compared to the self-reported success rates. The study results confirmed that goals with positive framing resulted in higher success rates than did goals with negative framing.

Experiential learning plays a critical role on reinforcing knowledge learned from textbooks and apply it in the real world scenarios. This internship provides a financial planning major student with valuable learning experiences at one of the major financial planning firms in the Columbus area. During the internship, the student learned to use the financial planning software, investment platform and client management system. Additionally, the student participated in client meetings and worked with various teams focusing on different aspects in financial planning.

Overview: Individuals in a wide range of occupations, including students, athletes, and the general population, have reported experiencing burnout (Dubuc-Charbonneau & Durand-Bush, 2015; Halbesleben, Osburn, & Mumford, 2006; Maslach, 2003; Salmela-Aro, Näätänen, & Nurmi, 2004). Self-Determination Theory (SDT) is often viewed as the foundation for a plausible explanation of burnout (Cresswell & Eklund, 2005; Lonsdale, Hodge, & Rose, 2009). Making Creativity Visible was a three-year investigation into creativity in learning, led by the Columbus Museum of Art in collaboration with area teachers, and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The museum- and school-based educators of the Making Creativity Visible initiative co-investigated “What does creativity look, sound, and feel like throughout the learning process?” and “How can creativity be modeled, fostered, and assessed in PreK-12 environments?” Summative evaluation showed that teachers who participated in MCV workshops or more sustained collaboration through MCV clearly articulated a range of dominant impacts, including increased ability to foster creativity and identify …

This study is done to create a regression prediction model that regresses several variables of data involved with NHL players from the 2018 season in order to predict the players’ point outcomes. By use of regression statistics, variables not meeting the criteria are filtered out of the model. The variables used in the model are those that are highly correlated with the outcome variable and meet the statistical requirements for model inclusion.
