Preplanning For Feedback In Clinical Supervision: Enhancing Readiness For Feedback Exchange, Diana Hulse, Tracey Robert

This article makes the case for preplanning for feedback in clinical supervision. Preplanning for feedback can help supervisors maximize the positive benefits of feedback delivery by building and solidifying a supportive supervisory climate that enhances supervisee receptivity to corrective feedback. The Corrective Feedback Instrument-Revised (CFI-R) is introduced as a major tool to facilitate preplanning. Additional resources that derive from the CFI-R are presented to assist supervisors in the preplanning process.

This presentation explores the history and evolution of an Arbitron assessment model (Nielsen Audio) when applied in higher education, specifically Student Affairs. Highlighted are the differences between traditional models of Student Affairs assessments and a modified Arbitron assessment. This new Student Affairs assessment model allows an institutional researcher to study student feedback minute to minute, day to day, week to week basis, etc. Discussed are the strengths and weaknesses of a Nielsen Audio model when applied to Student Affairs.

Background: Asthma in older adults is underdiagnosed and poorly self-managed. This population has little knowledge about the key symptoms, the prevalence among older adults, and the serious consequences of untreated asthma. The purpose of this study was to undertake a multifaceted evaluation of a social marketing campaign to increase asthma awareness among older adults in a regional Australian community. Methods: A cohort of older adults in an intervention region (n = 316) and a control region (n = 394) were surveyed immediately prior to and following the social marketing campaign.
