The objective of the research was to assess the influence of electronic education (e-learning) on faculty members’ performance through sustainable development at the Police Science Academy (PSA) in Sharjah.

The analysis unit of the study consisted of all full and part-time faculty members at PSA in Sharjah. Thirty-three questionnaires were distributed by Google Forms, and 30 questionnaires were retrieved. The study is explanatory, and it is quantitative in nature.

The study revealed that e-learning and its dimensions (human resources, technological infrastructure, electronic curriculum, electronic exam, electronic legislation, privacy and security, and organizational culture) are significantly associated with faculty member performance. …

A qualitative research study was conducted and data were collected by interviewing university professors on their perceptions about the impact of integrating Google Apps, as a means of classroom instructional delivery, on students’ communication and collaboration skills. The participants consisted of eight university professors from a major university, who integrate, or had previously integrated at least two Google Apps Education Edition collaborative tools into their instructional strategies. The flipped classroom that started in K-12 has now caught the attention of higher education as a way of encouraging deeper and more meaningful learning for students.
This presentation will demonstrate how, by using an Articulate Storyline SCORM package within the Desire2Learn platform, librarians and instructors flipped the information literacy training session.

The purpose of this study was to elucidate the construct of collaboration and the co-construction of knowledge in a distance learning drawing class. Distance learning drawing classes are rare, due to resistance by fine arts departments holding onto traditions that date back to Renaissance times. As a result, there is a paucity of literature on the subject. This multiple method study seeks an understanding of how students collaborate in critiques, form virtual communities and socially construct knowledge about learning how to draw.
