Modern technology threatens traditional modes of classroom assessment by providing students with automated ways to write essays and take exams. Chapter 13, Improving Mentoring Relationships and Programs Through Assessment and Evaluation, presents frameworks for deciding how to improve mentoring experiences. Assessment activities solicit feedback from or about the participants and focus on participant learning and in situ improvement opportunities.
