This single subject study used an ABAB research design to investigate the effect of classwide peer tutoring (CWPT) on the skill performance and fitness levels of students with disabilities. Data was collected from nine students with disabilities who are members of a fourth grade physical education inclusion class. During the baseline phases of this study, students received instruction through whole-class direct instruction provided by the physical education teacher. During the intervention phases of this study, students participated in CWPT sessions. Video modeling has been an effective instructional tool to teach children with disabilities, however, there is less research on the effectiveness of video modeling to teach typically developing children. The participants of this study were two typically developing children, and they were siblings of child with a disability. This study used an ABAB experimental design to graph, and visually determine differences between control and intervention sessions. BACKGROUND: More schools are moving towards full inclusion for students with disabilities into physical education classes. One key facilitating factor in the success of inclusion is parental support and involvement. Although much research has been conducted on the attitudes of teachers and students towards inclusion in physical education classes, there is very little information regarding parent attitudes towards inclusion in a physical education setting.

This article critically examines the role of informal sport within attempts to increase sport participation. Informal sport is a contested concept that government and non-government agencies are grappling with. In this article, the focus is on participation that is self-organised and not club based. The research reported reflects that at present, policy makers and practitioners have not seriously considered how informal sport may be positioned as a central facet in efforts to respond to participation objectives and associated health and social policy agendas.
