This chapter explores the value of mapping environmental data as a tool that can enhance students’ virtual exploration of place as they investigate local environmental policies and problems within their own urban surroundings. This study examined the Community Super Investigators Club, through which we aimed to apply mathematics and literacy skills by using project-based learning (PBL) to investigate elementary students’ interest in learning how to improve the environment for animals. Climate change is a global environmental problem and issue. Mitigation and adaptation have been suggested for use in dealing with the impacts, both current and in the future. Climate change education as a mitigation and adaptation effort is one that could have great impact. This quantitative survey study examined the climate change and climate change education perception and knowledge of Southeastern Environmental Education Association members. Part of the decline in visual art arises from artist' surrender to media environment influence, as an exploration of the life and work of noteworthy artist Andy Warhol reveals. This study terms such artist surrender Warhols Wake and elucidates its features. However, by examining, through an interpretive biographic method, the life and work of 4 other artists who responded to media environment influence differently, we gain insight into how creative consciousness can gainfully resist Warhols Wake, in a move that Marshall McLuhan calls "anti-environmental."

Dominant Environmental ethics have particular relationships with place that are predicated on ongoing settler colonialism and relationships to land that are exploitative and disconnected from the self. This article observed the conchological variability of two different types of Helix lucorum biotopes, considered adventitious for Fergana Valley, and makes a comparative analysis with types of their origin. The research material was the shells of H.lucorum type which collected from the southern slopes of Teshiktash hills and plains to the west of the Maylisoy River. For the first time, a locality of this types of shells were discovered in the area of the Maylisoy River. Dew point (dp) is the absolute measure of water vapor and directly affects comfort whereas 5-10℃ feels dry; 10-15℃ feels comfortable and 20-24℃ feels uncomfortable. PURPOSE: This project tested the hypothesis that exercise in hot ambient conditions with a high dp (>20℃) would affect the selection of self-paced exercise compared to neutral dry conditions (dp). METHODS: Six healthy active (7 day activity: 9826±3900 steps/day; VO₂max: 52±10 mL/kg/min ) subjects (4M/2F, 25±9y, 171±6cm, 69±7kg) completed a 30 min baseline rest then 60 min of exercise intensity they chose that represents their perceived exertion of 12 …

This article explores corporate environmentalism across North American major league professional sport through a webpage content analysis of disclosed business practices and programs. The results of the content analysis reify previous academic work, which suggests corporate environmental responsibility in professional sport is varied. Yet, the results also point to an increasingly standardized approach to integrated/operational business practices focusing on materials and resources, and energy and atmosphere, as well as campaign-based programs focusing on corporate social marketing. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationships between objective knowledge, subjective knowledge, and prior experience of organic cotton apparel and their effects on purchase behaviors. The sample of the present study consisted of Millennial consumers living in the United States. Multiple regression and cluster analysis were used to assess the relationship among variables. Objective and subjective knowledge related to organic cotton apparel had a weak relationship suggesting they are distinct measures of knowledge. Direct experience, indirect experience, and education level were significant predictors of subjective knowledge, however, they had insignificant effects on objective knowledge.
