The Australian General Practice Training National Registrar Survey (AGPT NRS) is an annual, national survey of GP registrars currently training in the AGPT program. It collects information via an online questionnaire about registrar satisfaction, experience and future career plans. It also collects information about registrars’ demographics and training contexts and other aspects of their training experience. This survey was previously known as the AGPT Registrar Satisfaction Survey (AGPT RSS). This fall, Waggoner Library at Trevecca Nazarene University began utilizing the Surveys feature available through Springshare’s LibWizard Lite in face-to-face information literacy sessions. Initially these surveys simply substituted for the paper worksheets previously used for in-class activities and assessments. However, it soon became apparent that LibWizard Surveys provided a more meaningful medium for students to practice new skills and a better tool for librarians to gauge student progress.

This study investigates the factors which support the use of arts-based pedagogy in elementary settings. To address the lack of a current profile of an early-career teacher (ECT) with a propensity to use the arts – music, theatre, dance, and visual art – this study illuminates ECT attitudes and behaviors related to arts-based pedagogy. The researcher administered Oreck’s (2001) Teaching with the Arts Survey (TWAS) and employed a non-experimental survey design using purposive sampling. The ECT population studied included currently employed elementary (1-5) teachers who completed the compulsory arts-based pedagogy class at a large Louisiana university in the fall of …

Montessori family education is a stepping stone in forming a bridge between school and home. This action research is focused on increasing familial attendance in Montessori education classes. Using quantitative and qualitative research methods are important tools in discovering the needs of the school community. Attendance, Likert scales and feedback questionnaires were useful tools in reaching out to the familial community. Implementing the changes based on the research results showed a drastic increase in attendance. With families leading busy lives, the school meeting them half way showed positive quantitative and qualitative results. This study had a maximum of 28 families …

Concept-based curricula are being implemented in nursing education as a means to shift the emphasis from content to an emphasis on concepts and conceptual learning (Giddens & Brady, 2007). This paradigm shift requires concomitant changes in how faculty teach and how students learn. In concept-based curricula, teachers use student-centered learning activities, such as case studies, questions, or problems to engage students in active learning (Giddens, Caputi, & Rodgers, 2015).
