Abstract.
The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of the knowledge society concept, its characteristics, and efficiencies of continuous education and requirements in a knowledge society. The research employed the descriptive methodology using a questionnaire surveying a random sample of 83 faculty members. Data shows that the knowledge society is a concept which is based on different principles and properties that are based on various aspects of human modern lives. Accordingly, the continuous education in the knowledge society requires fundamental changes including: concepts and objectives; content; methods and management.
