Reading fluency is a skill that’s difficult for many students to acquire. However, research suggests that consistently implementing the Repeated Reading intervention can help students increase fluency and comprehension. The effect of this strategy when used to promote reading fluency in secondary students with severe intellectual disabilities has yet to be investigated. My research will examine the effect of the Repeated Reading intervention on the fluency level of students with intellectual disabilities in a public high school.

The use of pre-correction strategies by pre-service teachers can, in theory, reduce the number of problem behaviors in the classroom, and greatly increase desired behaviors. By reducing the amount of problem behaviors through pre-correction, the pre-service teachers will spend less classroom time having to address the undesirable behaviors and instead, will be able to increase the amount of time he/she has to teach the lesson planned for the day.

This study investigated the empathy of Special Education graduate students in the USA and the Bahamas, and of Counseling and Organizational Learning students. About 180 students were administered the Interpersonal Reactivity Index to assess: fantasy, perspective taking, empathetic concern, and personal distress. Early Intervention promotes preschool age children, identified on the autism spectrum, with increased independence and positive social skills in the classroom. Preschool children who do not have access to such programs tend to display negative and socially inappropriate behavior, such as acts of aggression, withdrawal, and inability to attend to lessons. Abstract People who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are often at high risk of becoming substance abusers. Recovering addicts with both conditions provide a unique perspective on this phenomenon by sharing their insight. The purpose of this study was investigating teachers’ interaction with a young child with ASD when they were using iPad to support language and communication skills development. A manipulation-free design was applied. Business-as-usual classroom interaction was analyzed. Utterances were divided into two conditions (iPad-use and non-iPad-use) to compare effectiveness on supporting the child’s engagement in teacher-child interaction. In addition, interviews with teachers were conducted to collect more information about their own perspectives regarding iPad use with the student with ASD.
