Praksis Pembelajaran Kewirausahaan Pada Unit Produksi Jasa Boga, Tuatul Mahfud

Penelitian bertujuan menemukan konsepsi guru tentang pembelajaran kewirausahaan, kompetensi kewirausahaan yang dikembangkan pada unit produksi sekolah dalam bidang jasa boga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, ketua program studi, kepala unit produksi, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, data display, dan kesimpulan. Evaluasi pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan evaluasi model formatif-sumatif oleh Scriven yang menekankan pada evaluasi formatif. Populasi penelitian adalah semua SMK di Surakarta yang menjalankan teaching factory berjumlah 9 sekolah dan respondennya adalah 81 guru pengampu kompetensi keahlian yang menjalankan teaching factory di sekolah tersebut. This portfolio presents the author’s current understanding of second language teaching. The main section of the portfolio consists of a teaching philosophy that expresses the author’s believe that definitions of learning direct second language teaching. Three artifacts explore language, culture, and literature and express the development of the author’s teaching philosophy. An annotated bibliography covers the essential readings done in the course of study and provides the foundations for the author’s ontological arguments.

This qualitative study was implemented in an urban, Title I school district in the southern portion of the United States. The problem the study addressed was that the various phenomena pertaining to the implementation of the principal professional learning community (PPLC), as perceived by the 14 participating elementary school principals, had not been examined to determine their influence. Qualitative data were acquired from the principals through personal interviews.

Movement is a vital part of our every day lives, and it is also important for a healthy brain. The following paper examines the shift from movement based learning to a more restrictive rote format, which often has adverse effects on learning. This work discusses the ways in which teachers are under pressure to “teach to the test” instead of creating student-centered classrooms. Some of the side effects of a test-centered approach are low self-esteem (from not meeting strict academic requirements) and behavioral problems in students.

This study explored university education faculty perceptions of their curriculum styles and their influence on the preparation of aspiring teachers. Using Miller’s (2011) curriculum inventory, a sequential explanatory mixed methods design included (N =11) graduate education faculty who self-identified with one of four schools of curriculum design: linear, holistic, laissez-faire, critical theorist. A follow-up focus group was conducted with N = 7 participants, where their views and theories of curriculum were shared regarding effective design and implementation of curriculum, and the transmission of personal theories to aspiring teachers. Several years ago, we introduced the idea of item response curves (IRC), a simplistic form of item response theory (IRT), to the physics education research community as a way to examine item performance on diagnostic instruments such as the Force Concept Inventory (FCI). We noted that a full-blown analysis using IRT would be a next logical step, which several authors have since taken. Reading Horizons: A Journal of Literacy and Language Arts

The 160 third, seventh, and eleventh-graders involved in this study agreed, almost unanimously, that reading was“important.” Participants cited the empowering benefits of reading as they justified this opinion. However, with regards to the enjoyment of reading, fewer middle and high school participants reported “liking” reading than their elementary counterparts and fewer reported reading in their free time.

This article reports on a study that examined the context in which Australian university teachers design in order to understand what role design support tools and strategies could play. There is substantial research demonstrating that a student’s motivation for learning can be largely explained in terms of their preferred achievement orientation. This paper explores a case study investigating ICT derived lead indicators of student achievement orientation, and therefore underlying motivations. The study incorporated Tan’s (2009) research on learning dispositions to quantify student achievement orientations. These findings were then correlated with student LMS data to identify if patterns of online behaviour are indicative of the observed achievement orientation scores. The results suggest that there is a significant correlation between student achievement orientation and participation in discussion forums. Students reporting a …
