Through this lesson students will be able to give an accurate and detailed description of the water cycle including the process that accompany it (evaporation, condensation, and precipitation). This is a social studies lesson for 5th and 6th graders on the American Revolution. Through this lesson students will be able to understand the immediate causes of the American revolution, understand the reaction of the colonists to these causes, and discover how each student would react if they were the colonists and to explore different alternatives to war, if any. The lesson is tiered into three levels where students are grouped by ability. In each level students will receive a task card and can choose the activity that is of most interest to them.

The major goal of this course is to familiarize students with current video production techniques and equipment. By using a hands-on and laboratory/ lecture approach, we will be able to produce a wide variety of projects using both studio and field procedures. Some of the areas we will cover include: treatment/scripting, pre-production, directing, lighting, audio, continuity, camera operations and post production.

Students will also apply current media streaming techniques to video and upload final projects to YouTube and Google Video.

The Mortola Library and Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology are working together on a joint pilot project utilizing the technology of interactive white boards (IWBs, also known by the brand name SMART Board). The Assistive Technology Lab continues to be an extremely significant piece of the Thinkfinity grant...The focus of the AT Lab at 163 Williams Street at Pace University is to help students, teacher-candidates, professors and the community with researching, studying and addressing the needs of the community within the area of assistive technology for the user. Various levels of progress have been made this semester regarding the types of equipment the lab needs to function, as well as amassing information for the AT Lab Committee and fulfilling the realization of a working lab.
